Careem Egypt, the leading internet platform in technology and smart transport services, announced an increase in its fleet in both Luxor and Aswan by 40% and 35%, respectively. This decision came as a continuation of Careem's plan to grow its services in Egypt to meet the needs of its customers and as part of the company's direction to support Egyptian tourism in two of the most touristic destinations in Egypt to enhance the experience of local and international tourists.
The step taken by Careem comes in conjunction with what Egypt and the world have recently witnessed, and the city of Luxor in particular, with the opening of Rams Road as one of the city's most important and famous landmarks. According to local and international reports, Luxor and Aswan will witness a lot of interest from tourists from all over the world and from Egyptians in the coming period, especially after the opening of Rams Road, where all the hotels and resorts of the two governorates recorded full occupancy for the first time in several months. Careem decided to grow its fleet in the two cities as part of its support to the country’s strategy towards the development of tourism in accordance with Egypt’s 2030 vision, through which Careem provides many services that ensure safe and easy transportation in several governorates.
Haitham Essam, General Manager of Careem Egypt, said: "At Careem, we believe we have an important role in supporting Egyptian tourism, especially after the growth that we have witnessed in the country during the past few years, and the development of touristic areas and the opening of the Rams Road. Our decision to increase the number of cars and captains working with us in Luxor and in Aswan is a reflection of the increasing demand for smart transportation services in the two cities being among the most important international touristic destinations and attractive places for domestic tourism. Careem services cover all tourist areas to ensure that our Egyptian and foreign customers enjoy a unique transportation experience.”
Careem offers distinguished services that ensure our customers enjoy a comfortable vacation, where the customer can get a Careem car in a few minutes, and pay for the trip in cash or by credit card. Careem also provides several security and safety features such as the customer service team that can be contacted by phone and via live chat during the trip and within an hour after the completion of the trip, or by e-mail at any time during the day, in addition to the SOS service in the case of emergency cases and trip tracking feature available on the platform.
In addition, captains working with Careem can enter Luxor and Aswan airports to welcome local and foreign customers upon their arrival, and customers could book the Careem service up to 25 days in advance through the 'Book in Advance' service, which enables them to schedule all their trips before their visit.
