As part of their joint efforts aimed to achieve a cashless society, AMAN the leading non-banking fintech and E-Payments provider has signed a partnership with Mwasalat Misr, the leading service provider of smart sustainable urban mobility and the first to introduce the smart buses in Egypt. Under the partnership, AMAN will facilitate recharging “Mwasalati Card” for Mwasalat Misr’s users, through its POS machines.

Started its operations in Egypt in 2017, Mwasalat Misr has a vast fleet of 400 vehicles, providing transportation services within Greater Cairo and the new urban cities, such as Shorouk, New Cairo, 6th of October City, and Obour through 63 lines that connect all areas of Greater Cairo together.

Mohamed Wahby, CO-CEO of AMAN, expressed his happiness with such a cooperation with Mwasalat Misr, which was the first to introduce the smart transportation system in Egypt. “AMAN will facilitate recharging Mwasalati Card for Mwasalat Misr’s users through AMAN’s machines and branches across the country,” said Wahby, commenting on this cooperation. He also noted that AMAN’s POS network has exceeded 125,000 machines, and that it provides over 700 partners with its premium services.

“We believe it is very important for the private and public sector’s efforts to be concreted, with a vision to mainstream the culture of reducing cash circulation and relying more on the e-payment methods,” added Wahby.

Eng. Mohsen Sabra, Vice President of Mwasalat Misr, said that his company is striving to achieve a successful digital transformation in line with the government’s efforts in this regard. Today, the percentage of passengers who use the Mwasalati Card has reached 60% of the total passengers. Yet, we work to increase this percentage to 80% by the end of this year.”

“Mwasalat Misr has successfully provided 32 million passengers with mobility services so far through 333 buses and mini-buses.” Sabra added, predicting that by the end of 2021, the number of passengers using Mwasalat Misr will reach 40 million, including 9 million passengers in the urban communities as Shorouk, Obour, 10th of Ramadan, and New Cairo, besides 31 million passengers in Greater Cairo.
