Huawei Egypt in collaboration with Orange Egypthave successfully modernized & virtualized the EPC (Evolved Packet Core) & DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) moving the core network's traditionally run on dedicated hardware to software based elements operating on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)servers.
Orange Egypt is the first in Egypt & within all Orange affiliate to go virtual with business critical function (Packet Core) on a mass market use case (Entire network swap/modernization).
This new milestone is marking a strategically long term relationship which lasted for more than 13 years.
